Second Call for Proposals
Opens in March 2023

If our first call for project proposals came too early for you, there will soon be another chance to apply with us.

Our second call for proposals will launch on 22 March and close on
17 May 2023. It will be open to cooperation ideas in all priorities and
specific objectives. The indicative call budget will be around 60 million Euros.

Central Europe is facing numerous challenges that know no borders. Climate change, social pressures and the need to transition to a carbon-free and digital economy have only accelerated lately. Regions and cities have to adapt in many ways and they urgently need financial support for this. Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasised this in her State of the Union Address on 14 September, when she demanded “Let’s get the money on the ground”.

In their meetings on 13 September and 16 December 2022, the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE monitoring committee agreed that the programme should soon offer fresh funding on a broad basis. Submitted project ideas are expected to develop, test and implement innovative solutions through transnational cooperation that meet the needs of regions and cities on the ground - in all programme funding priorities and specific objectives.

For more information on our funding in general, please take a look at this beginner's guide for applicants.

More detailed information on the second call will follow in early 2023.
