Second RUMOBIL train in Croatia


Tourist train called “Spring awakening in Jaškovo” departed from Zagreb Main railway station at 9:09 AM on Saturday, 22nd of April. A group of around 150 people had a day full of activities and joy in front of them.  Just after arrival in Jaškovo, the tourists had a welcome drink and after that they had a chance to see a lot of interesting sights and events. A short walk took them to Horse of Jaškovo, a sculpture made of hay by Croatian sculptor Nikola Faller.

A few minutes later most of them reached a small Frankopan and von Hunolstein palace, which today is an institution which helps young and adult citizens with difficulties. In the garden of the palace a lot of activities were prepared, like stand with local delicacies, parks for children, etc. The programme was continued in Ozalj later in the afternoon. The tourists had the chance to take the tour of the local castle and there was a lace festival there with handmade traditional lace products from many parts of Croatia.

The train back to Zagreb departed from Ozalj at 17:13 and arrived to Zagreb around 18:30. Many of the passengers were already asking to book their seat on the next train which is scheduled on the 1st of May.
