3rd International BME / VDV Intermodal Congress

29.-30.10.2019

Politicians, businesses and large sections of the population are increasingly campaigning for a modal shift to the railways and thus for more climate protection and better mobility. Container traffic on rail already demonstrates how modal shift can succeed in practice.

But the rail should absorb much more v olume in the next few years, even in the hinterland traffic of the seaports. And for this purpose, appropriate capacities have to be created in infrastructure, transhipment, in personnel, in vehicles and in the design of logistics chain processes.

The Intermodal congress will deal with the framework conditions, potential and measures for extra traffic by rail through the seaports of the North Range. Take a look into the future workshop of port operators, seaport companies, railways and operators.
