What ProsperAMnet is about?
ProsperAMnet stands for 'Progressing Service Performance and Export Results of Advanced Manufacturers Networks'
Many smart specialisation strategies of central European regions recognise the need of strengthening advanced manufacturers. Especially small- and medium-sized companies face substantial competitive pressure. One way out is to offer additional services, which, however, requires big structural changes, especially for service exporters.
The ProsperAMnet project will offer know-how and create a transnational network to collect experiences from the local level. The project jointly develops innovative tools and approaches to support advanced manufacturers and will build their capacities. Additionally, partners will develop strategic action plans and recommendations for the future.
In order to support Advanced Manufacturers to become successful in their service business, a tool called ‘Service Performance Monitor’ is translated into the involved CE languages. This online tool identifies the internal leverages for improving the introduction, management and selling of services. Further, it provides recommendations for action and benchmarks.
You are an Advanced Manufacturer and want to become excellent in your service business? Use the monitor: www.prosperamnet.eu
The involved Business Support Organisations (BSO) are trained into expert hubs regarding the usage of the monitor. Through this training, BSOs are able to support Advanced Manufacturers in their country in the usage of the monitor and in interpreting its results. They understand the main leverages for improving service performance of Advanced Manufacturers in their country.
The Service Performance Monitor (O.T1.1) is implemented in the countries Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, and Czech Republic. At least 20 Advanced Manufacturers per country use the monitor, understand the main leverages for their internal service performance. In round tables, they get transregional expertise and good practices through BSOs and high education institutions.
For each involved CE country, strategic action plans are developed. The strategic action plans are based upon the regional RIS3 strategies, transnational benchmarks and comparisons of good-practices of Advanced Manufacturers service activities in order to support policy makers in improving service capabilities and regional competitiveness.
Check out the strategic action plans in the following section!
A prototype of the service export radar is being developed as an online tool. It supports the decision making of Advanced Manufacturers when they want to export their services. With the help of Artificial Intelligence, specific information will be collected automatically, and the user of the radar can use different use cases of interest.

In order to make the Artificial Intelligence learn, it must be filled with data and examples within a so-called annotation process. Within this annotations, company websites were analysed and relevant information selected.
More than 2,000 annotations have been finished with in total two annotation phases.
An online platform is developed to facilitate access for AMs and stakeholders and to link stakeholders in the field of service performance and service export. The platform supports AMs and experts with advice, exchange opinions, linkages to good practices and bringing stakeholders together. Further, the tools developed in the project are provided on this platform.
The platform is already published, the tools will be integrated step by step.
The involved Business Support Organisations (BSO) are trained concerning the usage of the Service Export Radar in order to professionalize them into expert hubs in their region. Through this training, BSO understand the strengths and limits of the Service Export Radar and how the tool can help companies and policy makers to in boosting service exports.
This training already has started and will be finished in June 2021.
The output factsheet will be published soon.
Through this pilot action, the Service Export Radar will be implemented in Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy and Czech Republic. At least 20 companies per country use the Radar and give feedback to its usage and its results.
Further, Advanced Manufacturers and other stakeholders get transregional expertise through round tables regarding service export.
Pilot Action has started right now! Have a look at the call for participation.
Country-specific strategic action plans are developed for policy makers prioritising mid to long-term necessary activities upon previous analysis, learnings and advices of stakeholders from each CE country involved in the project, with the final aim to foster service export of regional Advanced Manufacturers, the usage of Artificial Intelligence by companies and hence to increase regional competitiveness.
The strategic action plans will be available at the beginning of 2022.

Within the (online) project meeting on 9th February, the first use case of the service export radar was presented! The inhouse developed artificial intelligence-driven service export radar is already delivering valuable insights about the first use case – search for competitors in specific sectors in different countries. Next steps include the testphase of the radar in order to further optimise it for practical deployment!
